Privacy Policy for Snake Victory
Last updated: 24 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile game Snake Victory (“the App”) collects, why it is collected, and who it is shared with.
Summary
Snake Victory has no accounts, no registration and no way to type anything into it. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or precise location, and we never collect them.
The App does two things that involve your data: it shows advertising, and it reports anonymous usage statistics and crash diagnostics so we can fix problems. Both are handled by Google. Your game progress and high scores are stored on your own device, not on our servers.
Who we are
The App is published by:
MOBILE TECH GATESHEAD LTD
Unit 1 Interchange Centre, West Street, Gateshead, NE8 1BH, United Kingdom

For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, MOBILE TECH GATESHEAD LTD is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.

What is stored on your device only
The following is written to the App’s private storage on your device and is not transmitted to us or to anyone else:
- your unfinished game — the position of the snake, its direction, the current level, the score and the number used to generate the level layout;
- your list of the five highest scores, each with the score, the level reached and the date.
You can erase all of it at any time by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.
One thing to be aware of: Android may include this data in the automatic device backup that the operating system makes to your own Google Drive. That backup is controlled by your Android settings, not by us, and we have no access to it.
What data is collected and shared
The App integrates three Google services. Each of them collects data directly from your device.
| Service | What it collects | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob (advertising) | Advertising ID, IP address, device model and operating system version, language and country, interactions with adverts (views, clicks) | To select, display and measure adverts, and to detect fraudulent ad traffic | Google LLC and its advertising partners |
| Google Analytics for Firebase (usage statistics) | A randomly generated app instance identifier, device model and operating system version, language, country derived from the IP address, the Google Play install referrer, and the in-app events listed below | To understand how the game is used, how far players progress and where they stop playing | Google LLC |
| Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting) | A randomly generated installation identifier, the technical details of a crash, and the state of the device at the moment of the crash | To diagnose and fix crashes | Google LLC |
The in-app events we record
We record only gameplay and advertising events. There is no free-text or personal content in them, because the App has no text input at all. The complete list is:
- which screen is open — the menu, the high scores table, or a specific game level;
- the start of a level and its end, together with the level number and the score;
- reaching a milestone level;
- the final score at the end of a game;
- the loading, display or failure of an advert, together with its format and the screen it appeared on.
Crash reports additionally carry the level, the score and the screen you were on when the crash happened, so that a report can be reproduced.
What we never collect
- Your name, email address, phone number or any other contact details.
- Precise or GPS location. The App does not request location permission.
- Your contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone. The App does not request access to any of them.
- Payment information. The App contains no purchases.
The App itself declares only two permissions: internet access and network state. The Google advertising and analytics libraries add a small number of further permissions that they need in order to work — access to the advertising identifier, access to Android’s built-in advertising APIs (Topics and Attribution Reporting), and the ability to read the Google Play install referrer, which tells us which campaign an installation came from.
None of these are permissions you have to grant. The App never shows a permission request of any kind, and it has no access to any part of your device that would require one.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone other than the Google services listed above. Google acts as an independent controller for advertising and as our processor for analytics and crash reporting.
Google’s own documentation describes what it does with this data:
- Google Privacy Policy — policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services — policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- How Google uses data for advertising — policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Privacy and security in Firebase — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Advertising, consent and your choices
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, the App asks for your consent before it requests any adverts or collects usage statistics. The request is presented through a consent form certified by Google, which also lets you see and choose the individual advertising partners involved.
- If you consent, adverts may be personalised using the data described above.
- If you decline, or allow only some of the purposes, adverts still appear, but they are not personalised.
- Usage statistics are collected only if you allow information to be stored on your device. If you decline that, none are collected.
You can change your decision at any time. Open the game menu and choose Privacy settings — the same form will reappear, and your new choice takes effect immediately.
Independently of the App, you can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings, under Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by manufacturer and Android version). Deleting it prevents advertising personalisation across all apps on the device.
Legal bases for processing
For users in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Switzerland:
- Advertising and usage statistics — your consent, given through the consent form and withdrawable at any time as described above (Article 6(1)(a) UK/EU GDPR).
- Crash reporting — our legitimate interest in keeping the App working correctly (Article 6(1)(f)). Crash reports contain no personal content and are used only for diagnosis.
Elsewhere, we process this data as permitted by the applicable local law.
International transfers
Google processes this data on servers located in the United States and in other countries where Google or its partners operate. Transfers out of the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area rely on the safeguards Google puts in place for its services, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. The details are set out in the Google documentation linked above.
How long data is kept
- Usage statistics are retained for the retention period configured for our Firebase project. The default retention for user-level data is two months.
- Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days.
- Advertising data is retained by Google according to its own policies, described in the links above.
- Game progress and high scores stay on your device until you delete them.
Children
Snake Victory is not directed to children. It is rated for players aged 13 and over, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the App and you would like the associated data removed, write to us at the address above and we will act on the request.
Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent you have given.
Because the App has no accounts, we cannot identify you from our records on our own. To act on a request we need the identifiers that link to your data. Write to support@snakevictory.app and we will tell you which identifier is needed and how to find it on your device.
You may also complain to a data protection authority. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner’s Office, ico.org.uk. In the European Economic Area it is the authority for your country of residence.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the App collects or who it is shared with, we will update this policy and change the date at the top. Where the change requires it, we will ask for your consent again.
